Why can’t I turn off two-factor authentication on my iPhone?

Open the AppleID management page and click Manage your AppleID.

Log in using your username and password.

Because two-step verification is turned on, you will be asked to send a verification code to a trusted device when you sign in. (If you have added multiple trusted devices) Select the trusted device nearby and click Send to send the verification code.

The trusted device receives the verification code.

Enter the verification code received on the trusted device and click Continue in the lower right corner to continue logging in.

After entering the account and clicking PasswordandSecurity on the left, you can see the words Two-stepverificationisenabled. on the right. Click Turnofftwo-stepverification at the bottom to start turning off AppleID two-step verification.

First you will be asked to set three security questions, because after the two-step verification is turned off, the security questions become an alternative verification method. Fill in the security questions as required and remember the answers, and finally click the blue button in the bottom corner to continue.

Click Turnoff in the pop-up interface to confirm turning off Apple ID two-step verification.

A green check indicates that the two-step verification has been successfully turned off.

Finally, go to the lower right corner of the page and click Save to save.
