On August 2, 2020, a plague death occurred in Suji New Village, Wendubuling Village, Shibao Town, Damaoqi, Baotou City. The PCR nucleic acid test of nasopharyngeal swab in Baotou Center for Disease Control and Prevention was positive, and the gene sequence of nasopharyngeal swab was found to meet the purpose of plague. According to the epidemiological investigation data, telephone interviews with close basic personnel and laboratory test results, the medical expert groups at the municipal and flag levels determined that the patient was intestinal plague and the cause of death was circulatory failure.

According to the requirements of "Emergency Plan for Plague Control in Autonomous Region (2020 Edition)" and "Implementation Plan for Early Warning of Plague Epidemic in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region", Baotou Health and Health Commission issued Grade III early warning information for plague prevention and control. The warning level is level 3. Enter the early warning period from August 6, 2020, and the early warning time will last from the date of issuance of this early warning notice to the end of 2020.

At present, all relevant prevention and control measures have been put in place. According to the requirements, 9 close contacts and 26 close contacts have been observed in isolation, given preventive drugs and PCR detection of plague nucleic acid. At present, the situation is stable, there is no abnormality such as fever, and the PCR detection result of plague nucleic acid is negative. At present, Suji New Village, where the deceased lived, has implemented isolation and blockade, demarcated large and small isolation areas, comprehensively carried out epidemiological investigation, strengthened health monitoring of isolated objects, and carried out health monitoring, plague nucleic acid detection and publicity and education for all personnel in the isolation area. Every day, the residence of the deceased and the living places of the surrounding farmers will be completely disinfected, rats and fleas will be completely eliminated, and environmental sanitation will be cleaned.

Plague is a severe infectious disease caused by Yersinia pestis, and it is the first class A infectious disease in China. Relevant government staff said that as long as experts say it, it is necessary to do it in an all-round way? Three no three reports? System, there will be no big problem. ? Three no? In other words, it means that without permission, it is not allowed to hunt, strip or take epidemic animals and their products out of the epidemic area; ? Three reports?
