Apple mobile phone blocks short messages

Filter and block information on iPhone.

In the Messages application, you can filter messages from unknown senders and block unwanted messages.

Filter messages and spam from unknown senders (China only)

In iOS 13.3 or later, you can use the following categories to filter information:

Known contacts: information sent by contacts and information sent by people who have information with you.

Not in the address book: information sent by people who are not in your address book; You will not be notified of these messages.

Filtering short messages: filtering the information of extended tags through third-party spam messages; You will not be notified of these messages (spam filtering extension is required).

To set up and use information filters:

Go to settings > messages > unknown and filtered messages, and then open any of the following:

Filter Unknown Senders: By default, this setting is turned on.

Spam SMS Filter: This setting is only available after you have installed the Spam SMS Filtering Extension.

To use a filter, tap in the list in the Info dialog, and then tap the filter.

View and restore information in the filter information inbox (China only)

In iOS 13.3 or later, iMessage messages identified as spam will be moved to the "filtered messages" inbox. If there is any unreceived mail, please check whether it has been sent to the filter mail inbox.

Go to settings > messages > filter messages.

To move the conversation out of the Filter Messages inbox, tap the conversation, tap Restore iMessage Messages, and then tap Restore.

The conversation moves to Messages and you can send a reply.

Block messages from specific users or numbers.

In the Info dialog, tap the name or number at the top of the dialog, and then tap in the upper-right corner.

Tap a name or phone number to view a contact card.

Scroll down, and then click Block this call number.
