Why is there no sound when receiving text messages on Samsung S6 phone?

Try to reset the SMS ringtone: Information-Menu key-Settings-Notification check and select ringtone.

Check whether the phone is in silent mode and pull down the top curtain to turn the sound green.

Set the notification volume on your phone (Settings-Sound-Volume-Notifications, increase the notification volume).

Try changing other built-in system ringtones.
