How does Audi Q2L make a phone call through its Mini SIM card?

Applicable to: cars with Audi connect infotainment service.

The SIM card reader is located in the glove box.

After selecting this phone option, others can call you through the phone number of your own Mini SIM card in the SIM card reader.

prerequisite

The car is stationary, the ignition is turned on, and the menu phone has been called out.

Use your own mini SIM card.

The bevel angle of the mini SIM card must face the left front. Push the Mini SIM card into the jack of the SIM card reader until it feels stuck.

Please enter the PIN code of your mini SIM card in MMI according to the requirements of MMI.

Select and confirm.

If you want to automatically establish a connection in the future, please select and confirm Yes.

Select and confirm the phone (SIM card) or personal mobile phone (Bluetooth) installed in the car.

The mobile phone (SIM card) is installed in the mobile phone, so as to use the external antenna of the car. In the SIM card reader, your own mini SIM card or mobile phone with remote SIM card access mode is used for calls.

Personal mobile phone (Bluetooth): Only when the Audi phone box is configured, the external antenna can be used. In the SIM card reader, your own Mini SIM card is only used to obtain the Audi connect infotainment service.

After the connection is successful

After successful connection, the signal strength will be displayed in the status line of the infotainment system display screen through one or two symbols according to the connection mode.

If you want to make a call through a mini SIM card inserted into a SIM card reader or through a mobile phone, you can also change the settings later. Select: button (as shown below)

Take out the mini SIM card

You can use the Audi phone box to charge the rechargeable battery of your mobile phone. You can make a phone call through the antenna outside the car. Using external antenna can reduce the radiation in the car and improve the reception quality.
