Epidemic prevention centers are divided into health and epidemic prevention centers and animal epidemic prevention centers, among which the duties of health and epidemic prevention centers are:

1. Implement and supervise the implementation of relevant laws: implement the Food Hygiene Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the Infectious Disease Prevention Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the Maternal and Child Health Care Law of the People's Republic of China and other laws, regulations and provisions, supervise according to law, and perform administrative supervision functions;

2. Organizing and guiding disease prevention and control activities: organizing comprehensive prevention and control of major diseases and organizing and guiding health education activities;

3. Health supervision: organize and coordinate the public health supervision and law enforcement work in the whole region.

The duties of the animal epidemic prevention office are:

1. legal knowledge publicity: to help publicize animal epidemic prevention laws, regulations, policies and epidemic prevention knowledge;

2. Do a good job in animal immunization: be responsible for animal immunization in this area and establish animal feeding and immunization files;

3. Actively carry out inspections: responsible for conducting inspections on animal breeding and morbidity in this area, doing a good job in epidemic observation and reporting, and assisting in epidemic prevention activities such as epidemic inspection, epidemiological investigation and disinfection;

4. Carry out epidemic prevention and control and extermination: participate in emergency work such as prevention and control and extermination of major animal epidemics.
