Scenic spots in Cocodara

Cocodara Grassland Night Scenery Garden is located in the northwest of Cocodara Grassland in Yili, covering an area of nearly 500 mu. It is adjacent to National Highway 3 12 in front and Yili River in the back, and is 12km away from Horgos Port. This is the burial place of Zhang Jiayi's ashes, the assembly place of Genghis Khan's army and the base camp of the Western Expedition. It is also the hometown of the Khanate Palace in Chagatai, which is called "the capital of the central empire" and "the paradise of Central Asia" by Europeans-the ancient city of Arimali. Nalati prairie is one of the four largest grasslands in the world and belongs to the flora of subalpine meadow. The annual precipitation in Nalati can reach 800 mm, which is beneficial to pasture growth and has a high livestock carrying capacity. June-September is the season when Nalati grass is in full bloom.
