Brief introduction of Henan Chest Hospital

Established in 1984, Henan Chest Hospital is a public institution directly under the Health Department of Henan Province and a cooperative unit of medical insurance and new rural cooperative medical system. It is the only tertiary (B-class) specialized hospital in Henan Province that integrates medical treatment, prevention, scientific research and teaching, mainly treating cardiovascular diseases and respiratory diseases, and is a postgraduate training base.

This hospital has 800 beds. Surgical system: pediatric cardiac surgery, cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, esophageal cancer specialist. Internal medicine system: cardiovascular medicine, respiratory medicine, tuberculosis medicine, integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine and interventional therapy. There are also specialized clinics for children's tuberculosis, lymph node tuberculosis, tuberculous encephalopathy, bone and joint tuberculosis, asthma, sleep and breathing disorders and lung cancer biotherapy. Medical and technical departments are equipped with: CT room, radiology department, laboratory, reference room, ultrasonic diagnosis room, ECG workstation, lung function blood gas analysis room, sleep and breathing disorder diagnosis room, etc. There are laboratories and research rooms for bacteriology, immunology, clinical pharmacology, pathology, heart function and molecular biology. Among them, cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery and respiratory medicine are key medical disciplines in Henan Province, while cardiovascular medicine and tuberculosis are clinical specialties in Henan Province.
