They came across a plaque engraved with four Chinese characters in the home of veteran Ge, which was obtained by the old man in the liberation war 72 years ago, but the old man never mentioned it to anyone for so many years.

This plaque symbolizes the contribution made by the old man Ge to the country and the people in the War of Liberation, and also carries the spirit that an anti-Japanese veteran is willing to repay the country and the people. In order to let this fearless revolutionary spirit be passed down forever, the old man Ge accepted the advice of the staff and donated this plaque to the Liaocheng Veterans' Hall of Honor.

Ge 1943 joined the army and fought in the battlefield 12 years, 1954 retired and returned home. When he mentioned the eventful years of that year, the old man Ge was also excited. The old man took part in Linfen campaign in 1948, and then appeared in our army's battle to annihilate the 44th Division of the Kuomintang. Later, Ge Shitian participated in many battles with the army. 1February 1948, 1948 was awarded the first-class merit of the brigade for fighting bravery, and1April 1949 was awarded the first-class merit of the army again. This plaque of the people's hero was given to Ge by the People's Government of the Fifth District of Guancheng County 1949. After the founding of New China, Ge joined the army to fight bandits in western Sichuan. Finally, Ge retired from the army in 1954 and returned to his hometown, ending his military career in 12.
