The majestic Batai Mountain is known as "Emei in East Sichuan" because of its spectacular sunrise, sea of clouds and Buddha's light.

History and culture are ancient and thick. There are 2 national key cultural relics protection units (Hanque in Quxian County and Luojiaba site in Xuanhan), the national patriotic education base (Wanyuan Defence War History Exhibition Hall) 1, and provincial key cultural relics protection units 14. Luojiaba site in Xuanhan, dating from 3,000 to 4,700 years ago, Tomb No.33 shows the trace of Bawanghou, which is the largest pre-Qin cultural site at present. Feng Huan and Shen Fujun in Quxian County (known as the hometown of Han Ques) are the largest Han Ques in China. They are world-famous for their exquisite art, and have attracted extensive attention of historians and sinologists at home and abroad. In Zhenfo Mountain, Daxian County, a Buddhist temple and twin towers soar into the sky, which is a religious resort integrating Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism.

Bataishan scenic spot

Longzhuta

Longzhua Tower, also known as White Pagoda. Located on Yuyin Mountain, 80 meters north of Tatuo Village, Xiwai Town, Dazhou City, the Zhouhe River is in the east, and there is a stone coupon arch leading to the foot of the mountain at the west pass, with an area of about 1500 square meters. The tower has a white eaves and a black appearance, a masonry structure and a nine-level pavilion octagonal pyramid roof. The tower gate is made of pig iron, and the tower body is octagonal cone, which is gathered layer by layer, and each layer is staggered with arch windows. The eaves of the tower are slightly inclined, and the eaves are very short, made of six layers of blue bricks. On the ground floor, an arched niche door opens on the south, west and north sides. In the 12th year of Qianlong (1747), the map of Zhaolongshan was printed on the map of Dazhou. According to the burning inscription of the tower brick and the calligraphy inscription of the eighth floor beam, the tower was repaired, renovated and rebuilt in the eighteenth year of Jiaqing (18 13) and the fourteenth year of Guangxu (1888). Construction of the pavilion started on 1984, and was completed and opened in May 1996. 170-meter-long exhibition line shows more than 200 precious cultural relics left by the Red Army in Wanyuan, such as various documents, weapons and ammunition, stone slogans, etc. The exhibition uses sand table display, model making, light box setting, photography, painting, chart statistics and other forms of expression, vividly recreating the thrilling historical scene of 80,000 Red Army soldiers such as Xu Xiang Qian, Li Xiannian and Xu and 200,000 troops in Liuxiang fighting bloody battles in the Soviet area.

The former site of the museum is located on the left side of Tuoshan Park in the suburb of Wanyuan City, with an area of 12 mu and a construction area of 2,340 square meters. Comrade Xu Xiangqian commented on this campaign and said: "The siege of Liuxiang by the Sixth Route was the longest and hardest battle we fought in Sichuan. In the history of the Red Fourth Front Army, it can also be said to be the largest, longest-lasting and most brilliant battle. In the siege against the Sixth Route, the decisive defense in Wanyuan area was the most decisive. If Wanyuan falls, our army is in danger of being pushed out of northern Sichuan. The enemy is desperate, so are we. This is a decisive battle that concerns the life and death of the Sichuan-Shaanxi revolutionary base area. We can't do it unless we have nowhere to go! "

Many historians infer that if the "Wanyuan Defence War" fails, the Red Fourth Front Army is driven out of northern Sichuan, and the Sichuan-Shaanxi revolutionary base area is bound to be destroyed, then 200,000 Kuomintang troops will attack the Central Red Army on the way to the Long March. Without the support of the Red Fourth Front Army, the Central Red Army, with only 30,000 people left, will be besieged and blocked by the enemy forces in Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan, and even be in danger of being eaten by the enemy forces, and the whole process of the China revolution will be greatly delayed. Therefore, the great victory of Wanyuan Defence War is not only related to the life and death of the Red Fourth Front Army and the Sichuan-Shaanxi Soviet Area, but also to the fate of the whole Red Army of workers and peasants and the future of the China revolution.

Since the completion of Wanyuan Defence War History Exhibition Hall 12, it has received more than 100,000 visitors and young students at home and abroad10. Party and state leaders visited the museum and spoke highly of it.
