Pay attention to safety tips in windy days
Pay attention to safety in windy weather
Avoid the "narrow tube effect". Pay attention to the long and narrow passages between high-rise buildings when walking or cycling. Because the narrow passage will form a "narrow tube effect", the wind will increase in the passage, which will bring certain dangers to pedestrians.
beware of falling objects. Stay away from tree signs, street signs and all kinds of fences, and don't stay around them for a long time.
drive carefully. When driving in strong wind, you should slow down the speed properly, correctly identify the wind direction, and hold the steering wheel firmly to prevent the driving route from deviating due to wind. Pay attention to the lateral stability of vehicles and reduce overtaking.
light vehicles are getting heavier. Because of its light weight, light vehicles may be lifted by strong winds when driving at high speed. You should put some heavy objects on the light vehicle or drive slowly.
ride less bicycles. In windy weather, once you ride in the crosswind, you may be blown down by the gale and cause physical injury.
wear a mask when going out. Protect the respiratory tract and avoid colds, tracheitis, pneumonia and other diseases. It is recommended to wear a mask and change it every day.
don't rub foreign bodies in your eyes. It is easy to cause foreign bodies to enter the eyes in windy days, and it is easy to scratch the cornea by rubbing the eyes.
Safe production and operation in windy weather
Dangerous chemicals production enterprises. Strengthen the windproof measures for open and semi-open warehouses, and strengthen the windproof and dustproof inspection of detection and alarm instruments.
gas stations and oil depots. Timely check and reinforce the weak parts such as awnings, billboards and sign posts in the station, and stop aerial work.
fireworks business (wholesale) enterprises. Strengthen the inspection of the roof, doors and windows of the warehouse to prevent it from being overturned.
mining enterprises. Suspend the lifting of open-pit mining system, dump and ground bunker of coal mines and non-explosive mining enterprises, as well as high-altitude production operations as appropriate, and evacuate relevant personnel when necessary.
Fire safety in windy weather
Don't throw cigarette butts. In windy weather, we must always pay attention to the use and storage of cigarette butts, ash, matches, lighters and other dangerous goods.
don't burn paper or incense in the open air. In the process of burning paper, many paper ashes that have not been extinguished or burning incense heads are easily blown to haystacks and other places by the wind, which can easily lead to fires. Therefore, we must adopt a civilized memorial service, and do not burn paper and incense in the open air in windy weather.
it is forbidden to light a fire to burn crops. If hot work is necessary in spring ploughing production, it is necessary to have a special person to take care of it, pay attention to the nearby environment, stay away from flammable combustible materials such as mountains, forest areas and haystacks, and take fire prevention measures in advance.
illegal operation is prohibited. It is forbidden to carry out inflammable and explosive dangerous labor operations such as fire and electric welding outdoors in windy weather. If it is necessary to use naked flame, welding and other operations should be carried out in strict accordance with the operating procedures.
note that catkins are flammable. It's going to the peak of catkin flying soon. When catkin meets an open flame, it will immediately cause baking and burning, and it will spread very fast, and it is easy to be ignited and become a fuse.
measurement method of wind power level
in order to measure the wind power more accurately, people often use portable anemometers to measure the wind in the field. This kind of portable anemometer generally consists of a sensing part and a counter (see the left figure). The induction part consists of three air cups (there are also four air cups) mounted on the cross, and the air cups can rotate freely on bearings, and the air cups are protected by a small frame. The lower part of the central shaft is connected with the counter, and the air cup rotates, which also makes the counter rotate. So the counter records the number of revolutions of the air cup. A counter usually has two or three counting disks, with the large pointer indicating single digits and ten digits, and the hands on the two small counting disks indicating hundred digits and single digits respectively. There is a switch (starting lever) at the lower part of the instrument. Pushing it up can make the counter engage with the sensing part and the counter starts to work. When the starting lever is pulled down, the counter is separated from the sensing part and the counter stops working.
when the instrument is placed in a high place and it is inconvenient to start it directly by hand, a small rope can be used to connect the switch. When observing, the rope can be pulled to open and close. Portable anemometers are generally placed in places with open surroundings and no tall obstacles, and their bodies are vertical. Turn off the switch before observation and write down the indicator of the pointer. After a minute or two, turn on the switch and start the stopwatch to record the time. At this point, the observer quickly left the anemometer and stood downwind of the instrument. Nearly 1 seconds after starting the instrument, the observer quickly approached the instrument, turned off the switch at the positive 1 seconds, and recorded the second pointer indication. According to the two readings before and after, the difference is calculated, which indicates the scale number of the anemometer pointer during the observation time and is recorded in the record table. Divide this difference by the observation time, and you can get the scale number of the anemometer every second, and take one decimal place. Then according to the number of scales per second, find out the average wind speed (unit: m/s) from the verification certificate of the anemometer, and take one decimal place.
it is best to observe it twice in a row and take its average value to reduce the instrument itself and human error.
some portable anemometers not only have the structural performance of the anemometer mentioned above, but also have a wind vane on the shaft to indicate the wind direction, which is called a anemometer.
