Historical background:

American Jason Hunt introduced this activity to the world for the first time. This activity was inspired by his late mother. Hunter heard many stories about her at her mother's funeral five years ago. She helps people who care about her remember the warmth she got. Hunter made a card with "real hug" and took to the streets in his hometown.

The first person who "really hugged" him was a passing girl. She stopped, looked at the cardboard, and opened her arms to Hunter without hesitation. From this day on, "free hug", a movement about love and sharing, began to spread all over the United States.
