Zhaoqing is a red hot spot with glorious revolutionary tradition, the birthplace of the first formal armed Ye Ting independence group directly led by China * * * Party, and one of the earliest places where the peasant movement led by China * * Party took place.

Located in the northeast of Qixingyan Scenic Area in the northern suburb of Duanzhou District. There is a lion castle on the lion mountain, which was built in the ninth year of the Republic of China (1920). It is one of the seven fortresses built by Hu Lin, the garrison commander of ZhaoLuo Yang Town in Zhaoqing, to consolidate the city's defense. The fortress is mainly made of steel bars and lime sand, supplemented by bricks and wood, and consists of three-level fortifications, covering an area of 600 square meters.

During its stay in Zhaoqing, Ye Ting Independent Regiment made full use of these ready-made military facilities to conduct actual combat drills, which laid a solid foundation for its repeated exploits in the Northern Expedition. In 20 19, shigangbao was announced as a provincial cultural relics protection unit. In 2020, Shigang, the former site of Ye Ting Independent Regiment Training Ground, was listed in the list of Guangdong Red Revolutionary Sites.
