Xichuan is a beautiful town. "There is a city in the mountains, and there are mountains in the city, surrounded by mountains and rivers." It constitutes a poetic stream.

Xichuan can be summed up in seven words-one is "water". The South-to-North Water Transfer Project is a drinking water project with the best water quality, the largest investment, the largest water regulation and the longest main canal in the world. As the source of water and the location of canal head of the Middle Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project, water is the biggest highlight of Xichuan tourism. The head of the middle route of South-to-North Water Diversion Project is known as "the first head in the world", and the Danjiang Grand View Garden is famous in the Central Plains. The Danjiang Small Three Gorges is full of strange peaks and twists and turns.

the second is "Du". Xichuan is the seat of Danyang City, the initial capital of Chu State. Chu, a big country in the south of China in the pre-Qin period, has a history of more than 8 years, including nearly 4 years. In its heyday, the area of Chu reached one million square kilometers and its population was about 5 million, which was a quarter of the total population of China during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. The most glorious history of Chu is in Jianghan Plain, so many people have fixed the history of Chu in Jianghan Plain and Jingzhou.

the third is "temple". Xiangyan Temple, a thousand-year-old temple, was founded in 714 AD, with a history of more than 1,3 years. It is also known as the four ancient temples in the Central Plains with Shaolin Temple, Baima Temple and Sokokuji, mostly in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Hui Zhong, a Buddhist in the Tang Dynasty, founded Xiangyan Temple. In order to avoid being killed by his political enemies, Tang Xuanzong hid here for seven years, and finally returned to Chang 'an, realizing the revival of the Tang Dynasty.

the fourth is "valley". A fairyland on earth, the Valley of Meditation, was named after the Buddhist disciples of Xiangyan Temple used to practice meditation here. The waterfall in the valley is full of springs, with beautiful scenery and ten famous wonders, which are called "Jiuzhaigou in the Central Plains".

Wulichang Street, an ancient town in Jingziguan, is the best preserved ancient street in Ming and Qing Dynasties in 13 northern provinces and cities, and also a national key cultural relics protection unit. Jingziguan Town is a famous historical and cultural town in China and the first batch of famous tourist scenic towns in China. The famous writer Jia Pingwa's prose "Bailang Street" is still based on this.

six is "hole". There are two karst caves along the Danjiang River-Shenxian Cave and Baxian Cave. The caves are full of wonderful scenery, which makes people linger.

The seventh is the "human" article, and there is one person who must know it-Fan Li. After his retirement, he lived a secluded life here like a fairy couple with the beautiful woman Xi Shi, and led the local people to become rich and became one of the famous four saints in Nanyang-Shang Sheng.

Xichuan is the birthplace of Chu culture and the intersection of North and South cultures, with 88 cultural sites. The most precious national treasures are Wang Ziwu Ding, Yunwen Copper Ban and Shi Paixiao. Xichuan has outstanding people and talented people. It used to be the fief of Dan Zhu, the eldest son of Yao Emperor, and many influential and important figures were born here in the ancient history of China, such as Fan Li, one of the famous four saints in Nanyang, Deng Ye, the general of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Fan Ye, the author of the Book of the Later Han Dynasty, and Fan Zhen, the author of the Theory of Deity Extinction. Qu Yuan, a great patriotic poet, once climbed Mount Xiushan in Xichuan and saw the ancient battlefield of Qin Chu's "Battle of Danxi", so he wrote "National Mourning", which was the last song of all time.
