The main basis for designing the safe distance between LPG storage tank filling station and residential buildings is GB50028-2006.

The safety distance is based on the outer wall of the storage tank, which is related to the total design capacity of the gas station and the capacity of a single storage tank.

1. When the total volume of the gas station is less than or equal to 50 cubic meters, and the volume of a single storage tank is less than or equal to 20 cubic meters, the safe distance from the civil building is not less than 40 meters. 45 meters away from residential areas, villages and towns, schools, theaters, gymnasiums and other important public buildings (the outermost external walls of buildings and structures);

2. When the total volume of the gas station is more than 50 cubic meters and less than 200 cubic meters, and the volume of a single storage tank is less than or equal to 50 cubic meters, the safe distance from the civil building is not less than 45 meters. 50 meters away from residential areas, villages and towns, schools, theaters, gymnasiums and other important public buildings (the outermost external walls of buildings and structures);

3. When the total volume of the gas station is more than 200m3 and less than 500m3, and the volume of a single storage tank is less than or equal to1100m3, the safe distance from the gas station to the civil building is not less than 50m. 70 meters away from residential areas, villages and towns, schools, theaters, gymnasiums and other important public buildings (the outermost external walls of buildings and structures);

4. When the total volume of the gas station is more than 500 cubic meters and less than or equal to 1000 cubic meters, and the volume of a single storage tank is less than or equal to 200 cubic meters, the safe distance from the civil building is not less than 55 meters. 90 meters away from residential areas, villages and towns, schools, theaters, gymnasiums and other important public buildings (the outermost external walls of buildings and structures);
