After more than 300 kilometers of road, it was almost noon when we got off the expressway. I followed the navigation on my mobile phone and drove to Bailukeng. The mountain road has eighteen bends and is so narrow that it is difficult for two cars to meet.

Enter the village! At this time, it broke down and found that the car had a punctured tire. I needed to find a place to stop and change the tire, while I asked someone to find out where to see the customs of the She people.

The old people were all basking in the sun at the door, carrying stoves in their hands. I heard that all the young and middle-aged people had gone out to work. The last inquiry revealed that there was not a single person wearing traditional She costumes in the village, and there was only one old house left, which was still being renovated. They allowed us to go in and take a look, but they said there was nothing to see inside and suggested we go to Banyueli Village, where there are many old houses. What a nice name for half a month!

I went in and walked around the dilapidated old house for a long time, but I didn’t see anyone. The wooden stairs lead up to a row of dark rooms, which is a perfect location for shooting horror movies. Ban Yue Li

After a lot of effort in changing the tires, we turned around and headed to Ban Yue Li Village.

The ancestral hall is at the entrance of the village, half-hidden behind a huge old tree. We did some research on what kind of tree this was, but to no avail. It was dark and spooky inside, if you'll excuse my use of that word.

The villagers were very friendly and pointed us to the traditional houses of the She people. In fact, there are not many ancient houses left, and they tend to be dilapidated. However, a short section of the ancient city wall looks like it was newly built, with a few villagers sitting on it.

I saw a small restaurant on the road. I stopped for a bowl of rice noodle soup and asked the boss for the specific direction. According to the boss, many people come here at 5 o'clock every morning to wait for the sunrise. Of course, we are not lucky enough to see the sunrise over the sea. The sky is gloomy, and even a little bit of the sunset's afterglow is stingy.

A few wooden boats stranded on the shoals on the beach reminded us that we had reached our destination (of course there was an eye-catching slogan in the village "Long Live Chairman Mao" which also told me that this road was correct).

Although it is not the best time to take pictures of the sunrise, there are still many photographers setting up tripods here.

The tidal flats in Beiqi are indeed beautiful. A layman just wants to watch the excitement. At that time, I didn’t know what was being planted or cultured in the sea. When I asked back, it seemed that it was seaweed. A large area stretching straight to the horizon as far as the eye can see, with the same specifications and the same layout, it is shocking.

The sunshine also showed a hint of brilliance in cooperation, reflecting the rows of bamboo poles on the sea surface, showing a golden luster.

There was a group of young people having a barbecue on the beach, and we also went down to the beach for a walk.

Before leaving, the sun peeked out half of its head from the clouds to say goodbye to us. In order to live up to his kindness, he ignored the mud on the tidal flat and stumbled onto the broken wooden boat to let me take pictures of her.
