What is the Health and Family Planning Supervision and Law Enforcement Bureau?

The Health Supervision and Law Enforcement Bureau is under the direct jurisdiction of the Food and Drug Administration. The Health Supervision and Law Enforcement Bureau was originally under the management of the Health Bureau. Later, the two Food and Drug Supervision Bureaus were merged into one. The Bureau of Health Supervision and Enforcement was merged into the Food and Drug Administration.

The Health Supervision and Law Enforcement Bureau supervises: supervises food safety law enforcement. For example, if a supermarket is found to have food quality problems, the Health Supervision and Law Enforcement Bureau has the power to seal and detain the food, impose administrative penalties, fines, and warnings on the supermarket.
