How long does it take to drive after drinking?

In recent years, my country's crackdown on drunk driving has reached an unprecedented level, and various slogans "Don't drink while driving! Don't drive after drinking!" can be seen everywhere on the road. What is gratifying is that people no longer advise drivers to drink at the drinking table, and they will remind each other not to drive after drinking. Vigorous rectification and conscious law-abiding have significantly reduced traffic accidents caused by drunk driving in our country. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Public Security, the number of deaths caused by drunk driving and drunk driving accidents has dropped by 23.4% year-on-year since the beginning of this year, which can be said to be a fruitful result.

But at the same time, people don’t have an accurate idea of ??how long it takes to drive after drinking. Some say 3-4 hours, and some say it’s enough to get up after a sleep. The truth is Is that so? A few days ago, the Jiangsu Traffic Control Department conducted an experiment on this issue. Let's see if the experimental results are as you expected!

For this experiment, the Jiangsu Traffic Control Department invited 9 volunteers who considered themselves to be good drinkers. Their age span was between 20 and 55 years old, which is also the main age range of drivers in my country. In addition, these 9 people were divided into beer group, red wine group and liquor group according to different types of alcohol.

The experiment starts at 8pm. After each of the three volunteers in the beer group drank 6 bottles of beer, the blood alcohol content per 100 milliliters in the body was measured by the breath alcohol tester to be 68mg, 60mg and 65mg respectively, and the values ??were relatively close. If three people drive on the road at this time, they will all meet the standard of drunk driving.

After the three people in the red wine group drank 1200ml, 1600ml and 1200ml of red wine respectively, the blood alcohol content per 100ml was measured to be 95mg, 135mg and 97mg respectively, which all met the drunk driving standard.

The three volunteers in the liquor group drank 350ml, 550ml, and 400ml of liquor respectively, and the test results were respectively 99mg, 147mg, and 177mg in 100 ml of blood alcohol, which also met the standard for drunk driving
