It is understood that the first "mainland nucleic acid testing support team" is composed of about 60 clinical testing technicians selected by the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission from more than 20 public hospitals in the province. Ma Yonggang, who is in charge of medical treatment in the support team, said that currently, the team has formulated a plan based on the floor plan of Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo that it received previously. As a makeshift hospital, the most important thing is the "three areas" and "two channels" in terms of hospital feel. The "three areas" are the buffer zone, contaminated area and clean area, and the "two channels" connect the medical staff channel and the patient channel.

The support team may face language communication barriers. The Wuhan experience requires localization in Hong Kong. On August 1, the "Fangcai Hospital" renovated from AsiaWorld-Expo Hall 1 began to receive confirmed patients. Ma Yonggang said that according to the pictures released by the media, each patient here has an independent living space of about 9 square meters, and each room has partitions on three sides. He believes that this design is very user-friendly. There are multiple instruments in the corridor outside the hospital to monitor patients' blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature and other data. Such intelligent facilities can reduce the workload of medical staff and reduce the risk of infection.

Ma Yonggang pointed out that there is no specific cure for COVID-19 and communication is very important. But in Hong Kong, they may encounter language communication barriers. In addition, Hong Kong colleagues mainly communicate through intelligent equipment, and the experience of the mainland support team will need to be localized and adjusted in Hong Kong.
