What are the inspection methods for breast diseases?

Breast examination methods generally include color Doppler ultrasound, platinum target (X-ray) magnetic vibration, puncture and so on. These tests can complement each other and help doctors find out the nature of nodules more accurately.

First, breast ultrasound

Using acoustic waves to examine the breast can distinguish the size, shape and blood flow of nodules, which is the first choice for general breast examination. The disadvantage is that the recognition degree of tiny calcifications is not high, and calcification is an important index to judge whether nodules are malignant or not.

Mammography

It can make up for the deficiency of breast ultrasound and show calcification better. The disadvantage is that it is radioactive, the resolution of nodules is not as good as that of ultrasound, and it is not suitable for young women with dense breasts, which complements breast ultrasound.

Third, magnetic vibration.

It has the highest accuracy, and is suitable for cases where breast ultrasound and breast platinum target X-ray can't judge nodules, especially for dense breast and breast with prosthesis, to determine the tumor invasion range, judge postoperative congestion or tumor recurrence, and understand the effect of tumor treatment.

Fourth, puncture biopsy

Under the guidance of images, collecting suspicious lesions and taking out tissues for pathological examination are the gold standard to judge whether breast nodules are benign or malignant.
