Mount Wutai, the original heart does not change; Outside the mountain, the world is prosperous; In the mountains, one side is pure land; Wutai Mountain, also known as Liang Qingshan, is located in the northeast of Wutai County, Shanxi Province. It is the first of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, and is called "Golden Wutai". It is also called Wutai Mountain because it is surrounded by five peaks. Wutai Mountain is said to be the Dojo of Manjusri Bodhisattva. Wutai Mountain is the only Buddhist Dojo in China where the Green Temple and the Yellow Temple complement each other. The most prosperous period was the Tang Dynasty. According to Gu Liang Zhuan, there are as many as 300 temples in the whole mountain, and there are 47 existing temples.

Main temple

Wutai Mountain is a Buddhist Dojo, with both Qing Temple (where Han monks live) and Huang Temple (where Mongolian and Tibetan lamas live). Tibetan Buddhism and the Han nationality Buddhism are equally important. Qing Temple and Huang Temple are adjacent and develop together, which is a unique phenomenon among the four famous Buddhist mountains. The main temples are: Xiantong Temple, Bodhisattva Top, Tayuan Temple and Dailuoding.

Xiantong Temple, also known as Dafu Lingjiu Temple, is the largest temple in Wutai Mountain. It was built in the Yongping period of the Han Dynasty in the East (58-75). According to legend, Kaye Tongmo and Zhu Falan, the eminent monks of Tianzhu, came to Wutai Mountain to build a temple and named it Dafu Lu Ling Temple. In the 26th year of Qing Emperor Kangxi (1687), it was renamed Daxintong Temple. Now it is the seat of Wutai Mountain Buddhist Association.

Mount Wutai's largest Huangdi Temple Bodhisattva Peak. According to legend, because it is Manjusri residence, it is also called Zhenrong Garden and Great Manjusri Hall. This temple was built in the reign of Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty (47 1-499) and rebuilt many times in past dynasties. After Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, Mongolian and Tibetan Buddhists settled in Wutai Mountain and became the heads of the Huangmiao Temple in Wutai Mountain. Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty visited Wutai Mountain several times, stayed at Bodhisattva Top, and gave a prefect seal to the Lama of Bodhisattva Top.

Tayuan Temple, originally the pagoda of Dahuayan Temple, was named after the Great White Pagoda in the courtyard and is now the main symbol of Wutai Mountain. It was built when Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty and rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty. According to records, there is a stupa built by Asoka of India in the Great White Pagoda. The Manjusri Pagoda in Tayuan Temple is said to contain the relics of Manjusri Bodhisattva.

Dai Luoding, formerly known as Fuding 'an, was renamed Dai Luoding from the 20th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (1592) to the 15th year of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty (1750), and was renamed Dai Luoding from the 15th year of Qianlong (1750). Most emperors in Qing Dynasty worshipped Buddha and Wutai Mountain many times. Later generations called the worship of Manjusri Bodhisattva on the top of Dai Luo a "small pilgrimage platform", which is known as the saying that "if you don't climb the top of Dai Luo, you won't count as a guest of Mount Tai".

In addition, there are nanzenji, Shuxiang Temple, Luo _ Temple, Wanfoge, Tang Shifang, Guanghua Temple, Longquan Temple, Nanshan Temple, Jingu Temple, Chikulin Temple, Fusai Temple, Songzheng Temple and Buddha Cave.
