Transposition means changing the original position of a word. Most Chinese sentences have a basically fixed word order, which generally cannot be changed. Students, take a look at the following examples to appreciate the wonderful benefits that word order transposition brings to you.

Words change places and slogans will run

Mr. Yu Youren (1878---1964) was a veteran of the Kuomintang and a famous calligrapher. When he was serving as the Supervisory Dean of the National Government, he saw some civil servants urinating in the corner of the courtyard and the stench was so bad that he wrote a warning slogan and asked the clerk to post it on the wall. The slogan is: "No peeing anywhere."

The clerk who put up the slogan knew that Yu Youren's "calligraphy treasures" were valuable. Many high-ranking officials and wealthy businessmen asked him to inscribe them, but he refused. This was really a God-given opportunity. Therefore, he went to a calligraphy and painting shop to ask someone to frame these words and hang them in the living room. But when mounting the words, he changed the word order to: "Don't be careless about small things." After his modification, the meaning was completely new, and an ordinary warning slogan became a philosophical motto with profound ideological and educational significance.

Invert words and shake out the baggage

When crosstalk actors perform, they often reverse the order of words to make fun of them. The performance effect is amazing and often makes the audience laugh. There is a short cross talk section called "Inverted Sentence", which is famous for the inversion of word order. A: "I am your eldest brother." B: "Your eldest brother is me." As he spoke, he shook out his "baggage": "I will go home to eat", "I will eat when you go home"; "I am a dog-tail flower" ", "I am the flower-tailed dog."

The words are reversed and full of irony
