Here, on behalf of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks!

Dear representatives, we are clearly aware that there are still many outstanding problems in procuratorial work: First, there is still a big gap between the performance of legal supervision functions and the requirements of economic and social development and the expectations of the people. Some procuratorial organs and prosecutors have deviations in their law enforcement concepts. They do not have a strong awareness of serving the overall situation and enforcing the law for the people. Problems such as handling cases on their own, not being good at resolving conflicts, and not paying attention to the effectiveness of law enforcement exist to varying degrees. Second, the overall quality of the procuratorial team needs to be further improved. The team is not highly professional and there is a relative lack of high-level talents. Some procuratorial personnel are not strong in their ability to comprehensively grasp policies, accurately apply laws, handle complex cases, and do a good job in mass work. Third, problems such as handling cases in violation of laws and regulations, exercising privileges, and showing off prestige still occur from time to time. A small number of prosecutors violate disciplines, violate laws and regulations, and even use power for personal gain and corruption and pervert the law, seriously damaging the credibility of the judiciary. Fourth, basic work at the grassroots level still needs to be strengthened. The construction and development of grassroots procuratorates is uneven. Some procuratorates have low levels of standardized law enforcement and scientific management. Problems such as the number of cases but few cases are still prominent in some places. The Supreme People's Procuratorate will attach great importance to this and resolve it seriously.
