As a national heavy truck brand in China, SAIC Hongyan is about to celebrate its 55th birthday. Ever since Sichuan Automobile Factory (the predecessor of SAIC Hongyan) broke ground in June 1 965+1October1,Hongyan has been creating its own legend. From scratch, from military to civilian, from single model to multi-series models, Hongyan has created classic products from generation to generation and made great contributions in the history of heavy trucks in China.

First generation products: heavy military off-road vehicles

During the period of 1965, the sound of guns in Shuangqiao, Chongqing awakened the dawn of heavy military vehicles in China, and the first heavy military off-road vehicle base in new China: Sichuan Automobile Factory (predecessor of SAIC Hongyan) officially started construction. Subsequently, the prototype CQ260 off-road vehicle produced according to GCH heavy military off-road vehicle technology imported from Belle was assembled off-line, marking the birth of heavy military off-road vehicle in China.

Second generation products: civil heavy trucks

1July, 984, Hongyan CQ30290 truck officially passed the national appraisal. This model was independently developed and designed by Hongyan, which filled the blank of domestic 18 tonnage heavy-duty vehicles and took the first step of converting the national heavy truck army into civilian. After that, the all-wheel drive variant car developed with CQ30290 as the chassis crossed the Gurbantonggut Desert in Xinjiang, which is known as the "sea of death", causing a national sensation.

Third generation products: introduction of Steyr technology

On April 29th, 1985, the first Steyr heavy truck in China was assembled and rolled off the assembly line in Sichuan Automobile Factory. Hongyan automobile was upgraded to Steyr technology platform, and the national heavy truck was upgraded. At the same time, it laid the foundation for the heavy truck industry in China, and had a significant and far-reaching impact on the heavy truck industry.

The fourth generation product: classic heavy truck Hongyan King Kong

In 2004, after three years of tracking the development trend of international technology, China's third-generation classic heavy truck Hongyan King Kong was successfully listed through independent research and development. This car not only continues the characteristics of durable leather and elegant appearance of Hongyan dump truck, but also has excellent performance in safety, comfort, power, bearing capacity and optimal matching.

The fifth generation product: Hongyan Jieshi opens a new era.

On March 12, 2009, Hongyan "Jieshi" GENLYON Heavy Truck, the first high-quality heavy truck newly developed by the joint venture company, was successfully listed, which achieved a revolutionary upgrade, led a new change in the technical platform of heavy trucks in the industry and achieved a strategic breakthrough in the development of commercial vehicles.

Over the past 55 years, SAIC Hongyan has built five generations of classic products, which witnessed the development path of hard work, equal emphasis on military and civilian, leap-forward development and joint venture and cooperation, and made special contributions to changing the situation of "short weight and short weight" in new China and consolidating the manufacturing foundation of heavy trucks in China.
