What district is Wuhu County called now?

Bay Area, which belongs to Wuhu City, Anhui Province, is located in the southeast of Anhui Province and on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It is adjacent to Xuancheng in the southeast, Nanling County in the southwest, dangtu county in the northeast and Wuhu in the northwest, with a total area of 667 square kilometers.

Hekou District is located at the intersection of the Yangtze River and its tributaries, namely, Shuiyangjiang River, Qingyijiang River and Zhanghe River, with dense water networks and scattered hills. Besides bordering Xuanzhou City and Xinglang Mountain, alluvial plains and terraces constitute the main landforms. The rest are hills and residual hills, scattered on plains and terraces.
