Design principle of air shaft

(1) The design of the air shaft should first meet the ventilation requirements, and the air shaft should comply with the relevant provisions in the Safety Regulations for Metallurgical Mines.

(2) The design of air shaft shall be carried out after submitting the entrusted information of mining, mining machine and other majors, and attention shall be paid to the connection between wellhead and civil engineering specialty.

(3) The main return air shaft should not be used as auxiliary shaft and main pedestrian passage during normal production.

(4) The main return air shaft can be used as the safety exit of the mine. When used as a safety exit, a stairway should be set within 300m of the well depth (the stairway should be closed), and emergency lifting equipment should be set when the well depth exceeds 300m.
