China Children's Fund was established on July 28th, 198 1. It is the first national social organization in China to serve children's education and welfare in the form of raising funds. It is a non-profit social welfare organization with independent legal personality. The purpose of China Children's and Teenagers' Foundation is to nurture, train and educate children and teenagers, and to assist the country in developing education and welfare for children and teenagers, especially in poverty-stricken areas and ethnic minority areas.

Since its establishment, China Children's Foundation, under the leadership of the Council and the All-China Women's Federation, has done a lot of work for the education and welfare of children and adolescents in China and won wide acclaim from all walks of life. China Children's and Teenagers' Fund has allocated funds and materials for many times to help children in areas suffering from natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods and fires. It has also funded the establishment of schools, kindergartens, children's welfare homes, orphanages and Children's Home, and the construction of children's palaces, Children's Home and children's activity stations all over the country.

Especially in 1989, China Children's and Teenagers' Foundation established the Scholarship for Girls' Continuing Education, and launched a large-scale social welfare activity aimed at helping girls who dropped out of school in poor areas to return to school. Later, it was officially named "Spring Bud Plan", and "Spring Bud School" and "Spring Bud Girls' Class" were held all over the country. In order to make the girls in Spring Bud get rich by relying on the rural practical skills they learned in Spring Bud School after graduation, our association has also set up a special fund for practical technical training for girls in Spring Bud Project. By 2004, the "Spring Bud Plan" had raised 600 million yuan, covering 30 provinces and regions in China. More than 300 "Spring Bud Schools" were donated, more than 4,600 "Spring Bud Classes" were held, which helped 654.38+500,000 girls leave school, and 465.438+600,000 women and girls were trained through various practical technical training activities. "Spring Bud Project" has become one of the most famous social welfare brands in China.

In May 2000, China Children's and Teenagers' Fund launched a new large-scale social welfare project-"Ankang Plan". The goal of "Ankang Plan" is to help children "stay away from school, disease, injury and crime".

Since the launch of Ankang Plan, a series of large-scale public welfare activities have been carried out. Since 200 1, three sessions of "Ankang Plan Westward Journey" and "Ankang Plan Northeastern Journey" have been held successively, covering western provinces and regions such as Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Gansu, Tibet, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Guizhou, Yunnan, Sichuan and Chongqing, and old industrial bases such as Heilongjiang and Liaoning 10. It has brought more than 83.4 million yuan of materials and funds to the local area. The local government donated schools, Ankang medical station, Ankang classroom, Ankang distance audio-visual classroom and Ankang distance music classroom. Greatly improved the learning conditions of local children. On June 22, 2002, the "Special Fund for Children with Amblyopia" was established, which has relieved the pain and brought light to 249 children with amblyopia. During the period of SARS in 2003, UNICEF in China launched two public welfare projects, namely "Ankang Class" of the school and "Ankang Family" of the community. At present, 604 Ankang classrooms, 380 Ankang distance audio-visual classrooms, 20 Ankang distance music classrooms, 20 Ankang Yijia classrooms and Ankang bulletin board 103 have been donated.

As achievements in the development of human rights, the "Spring Bud Plan" and the "Ankang Plan" have been included in the White Paper on the Situation of Children in China in 2000, Poverty Alleviation and Development in China, and the Progress of Human Rights in China by the Government of China, and the Outline for the Development of Children in China in 2000120 10.

In order to raise more funds to help children in need, UNICEF China has launched a donation box of "small change charity", "8858" mobile phone short message, and "one card" online donation of China Merchants Bank. Especially since 2002, China Children's Charity Day has been successfully held for three times. The first "China Children's Charity Day" raised nearly 200 million yuan in donations and materials, and donated more than 65.438+300 million yuan to poor areas for the establishment of Chunlei Primary School, Ankang medical vehicle, medical station and orphanage. The second "China Children's Charity Day" launched "Ankang Classroom" and "Ankang Family"; The third "China Children's Charity Day" raised a total of 65.438+0.7 billion yuan, and donated a number of "Ankang Remote Classroom", "Ankang Remote Audio Classroom" and "Ankang Remote Music Classroom" to the Air Force Experimental Training Base in the desert, the Beijing Institute of Juvenile Delinquency and the Northeast Old Industrial Base. These activities are welcomed by people everywhere.

From 2002 10 to 2002 12, in recognition of the units and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the welfare of children and adolescents in China over the years, the China Children's and Teenagers' Foundation built the "Chinese Children's Charity Monument" at the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing, and engraved the name cast by love on the monument, so that the Great Wall can testify and make love last forever.
