Shanwei pancake is a well-known Han snack in Shanwei, Guangdong province, and it is a typical representative snack in Houmen Town, Shenshan District, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province. Shanwei pancake used to be a holiday food in Tomb-Sweeping Day. Every morning in Tomb-Sweeping Day, people would go up to the mountain to worship their ancestors, and after returning home, they would have pancakes for lunch. Nowadays, people have diversified material life. Influenced by the customs of ancestor worship in Hong Kong, they have offerings such as "roast golden pig", "roast duck", "roast goose" and "cake".
