In 2008, Tongyi "Laotan Sauerkraut Beef Noodles" was launched. Master Kong has launched "Chen Tan Sauerkraut Beef Noodles". Master Kong's new product is not a unified opponent at all. At that time, Uni-President invited Wang Han as its spokesperson, and uttered the famous slogan "Someone imitates my face, and they also imitate my face", which was a mockery of Master Kong.

This is the only product among Uni-President's various series of instant noodles that can in turn step on Master Kong's footsteps. At the beginning, it was an advertisement shot by Wang Han for Tongyi Laotan Pickled Cabbage and Beef Noodles. Later, Master Kong went head-to-head with Mai Mang and found Xu Zheng and Wang Baoqiang. It must have been not long after the release of "On the Road", and this pair of live treasures was very popular.

The frustrated Master Kong immediately regained his strength and launched a counterattack. They directly launched "Master Kong Laotan Pickled Cabbage Beef Noodles" which is very similar to Tongyi Laotan on the outer packaging. By 2011, the market share of Master Kong Laotan Pickled Cabbage Beef Noodles was 47%, gradually closing the gap with Uni-President.
