Huizhou section of Hui-Guan Expressway starts from Daling Town, Huidong County, intersects with the national highway G324, and extends westward, passing through Daling Town, Pingtan Town, Liangjing Town and Hu Yong Town of Huiyang County, Sandong Town and Lilin Town of Huicheng District, and Zhenlong Town of Huiyang District, and connects with Dongguan section of Hui-Guan Expressway at Tiger Pit of Lilin Town, with a total length of 49.078km and six lanes in both directions, with a design speed.

Huidong-Changping Expressway (namely Guan Hui Expressway) is the fourth horizontal line in Guangdong Highway Network Planning (200 1-2030)-the expressway from Zhangzhou, Fujian (provincial boundary) to Yulin, Guangxi (provincial boundary). The planned horizontal highway starts from Luoding, passes through Heshan City, Jiangmen City, Zhongshan City, Nansha City, Panyu District of Guangzhou City, Dongguan City and Huidong County of Huizhou City, and continues to extend eastward, and connects with Jieyang-Puning Expressway through Shanwei City and Jieyang City. The construction of Guan Hui Expressway will fundamentally solve the east-west traffic bottleneck problem in this area, thus better serving the economic development of this area.

For Huizhou, Guan Hui Expressway is the third intersection of Huizhou Expressway network. After completion, Huizhou can connect Jiangmen, Zhongshan and Zhuhai on the west bank of the Pearl River Delta through Humen Bridge in Dongguan, which will shorten the distance from Huizhou to the west bank of the Pearl River Delta by 50 to 60 kilometers and provide a shortcut for Huizhou to connect with the most developed core area of the Pearl River Delta.
