Ordinary college entrance examination time

The general college entrance examination will be held from June 7th to 8th.

The National Unified Examination for General College Admissions, referred to as the "College Entrance Examination", is a selective examination for qualified high school graduates or candidates with equivalent academic qualifications. There is a unified national examination for admission to ordinary colleges and universities. The Ministry of Education requires that the names of the examination subjects in each province (autonomous region, city) and the national unified examination subject names must be consistent with the national unified examination time schedule.

The candidates for the examination are generally full-time ordinary high school graduates and citizens with equivalent academic qualifications. Enrollment is divided into two categories: science, industry, agriculture and medicine (including physical education), and literature and history (including foreign languages ??and arts). Ordinary colleges and universities select the best based on candidates' scores, plans and enrollment expansion in accordance with admissions regulations, and comprehensive evaluation of moral, intellectual, physical, artistic, and physical skills.

In 2015, the college entrance examination gradually canceled 6 bonus points items such as sports talents and Olympic competitions. In 2016, the Ministry of Education strictly prohibited the promotion of "college entrance examination champion" and "college entrance examination admission rate", strengthened the management of middle school college entrance examination slogans, and resolutely put an end to any hype about the college entrance examination.

On April 7, 2017, the Ministry of Education and the China Disabled Persons' Federation issued a notice on the "Regulations on the Administration of the National Unified Examination for the Admissions of Disabled Persons to General Colleges and Universities." In 2022, the Ministry of Education issued the "Notice of the Ministry of Education on the Enrollment of General Colleges and Universities in 2022" which clarified that the 2022 national unified examination will be held on June 7.

Qualifications for college entrance examination recommendation:

1. Fresh high school graduates from 16 foreign language middle schools approved by the Ministry of Education (the number of recommended students for foreign language middle schools will be gradually reduced starting from 2016).

2. Fresh high school graduates who won the first prize of the Olympiad and were selected to train for the Olympiad national team.

3. Provincial outstanding students.

4. Retired athletes who meet the requirements for recommendation.

5. Children of police heroes.
