Where does Guangyu Temple belong?

Guanglu Temple is a national key cultural relic protection unit and patriotic education base.

Guangyu Temple bears the marks of seven historical figures, which is its most precious place. Guangyu Temple is the first ancient building with exact architectural age found in Guangdong, and it is called "a very precious architectural specimen" by the famous archaeologist Mai. This is unique among the cultural relics of the whole country and even the whole world. There are six most clear maintenance records of ancient temples engraved on the roof purlin or inscriptions on the wall. On June 5438+February 1 day, 2003, the restored Guangyu Temple in Qiangang Village, Taiping Town, Conghua City, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province won the first "Excellent Project Award" of this year's UNESCO Asia-Pacific Cultural Heritage Protection Award. This is the first time that China has won the first prize.

Guanglu Temple is a national key cultural relics protection unit. Qiangang Village was built by the descendants of Lu Xiufu, the prime minister of the Southern Song Dynasty. The Guangyu Temple in the village was built in November of the fourth year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (namely 1406), and there is another saying that it was built in the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty (1426- 1435). After the completion of Guangyu Temple, there were maintenance records throughout the ages. The architecture of Guangyu Temple has distinct historical value.

Guangyu Ancestral Temple has three entrances, with a total width of 13.80m and a total depth of 44.20m, with a building area of * * * 8 16m2 and an area of about 992m2. It sits facing south, with a wooden frame in the middle of the main hall, gables on both sides and plain tiles on the roof, but the roof hangs from the top of the mountain, which has the legacy of northern architecture. It is a model ancestral temple with obvious northern style in the Pearl River Delta region.

Guangyu Temple building has distinct historical value. First of all, it has five solid maintenance records, namely:

1, at the entrance to the head of the mountain, Yang Wen inscribed "Reconstruction of Donggudan in the 12th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1807)";

2. The words "Reconstruction of Ji Dan in the Ugly Middle East in the 32nd year of Jiajing of Daming (1553)" are engraved on the purlin of the second ridge;

3. There is an inscription on the left wall of the East Corridor behind the second entrance, which reads "Rebuild Xiajidan during the reign of Daming Chongzhen" (1639);

4. The purlin on the third ridge is engraved with "No money was donated to rebuild the last month of Xia Gengzi Ji Dansun in the sixth year of Qing Emperor Kangxi" (1667);

5. In addition, after entering the ancestral hall for the third time, between the two columns, the "Four-year column of the Republic of China was the ambition to repair the back seat and change the room" was engraved (19 15).

In addition, the slogans of the Cultural Revolution period are still preserved on the inside of the gable on the east side of Erjin Hall and the gable on the west side of Sanjin Hall, which is also a true record of the special social and historical period. The restoration work has reached the standard of "repairing the old as the old".

Cui Zhimin, a folklore expert at Guangzhou Museum, said: "The exact time record here clearly shows the architectural style left by the ancestral hall, which is extremely precious. It (Guangyu Temple) is simply a yardstick of Lingnan architectural history. Mr. Mai Hao Ying, a famous cultural relic archaeologist in China, said: "This is the first time that an ancient building with an exact construction year has been found in Nanyue. It is a very precious architectural specimen, which is of great value to the study of ancient architecture and ancestral temple culture. "

Besides the historical and architectural values mentioned above, Guangyu Temple has obvious aesthetic value. Guangyu Temple is a relic of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, but it retains the construction techniques of very early buildings (such as the Song Dynasty). If the building is a suspended gable roof with obvious uplift, while retaining the wing walls on both sides of the gate and the eight-character lighting wall of masonry structure, it is an isolated case in Guangdong. Shuttle columns are used in the hall, and the column base is _ _, which is an important ancient architectural relic in the process of textual research on the history of northerners moving south and the development of north-south architectural style.

Guangyu Temple has experienced many vicissitudes and was seriously damaged in previous years. In order to protect this cultural heritage, the local villagers' committee cooperated with the government and technical experts to carefully restore Guangyu Temple. There are 400 households in the village, and 300 households donate voluntarily. Conghua Municipal Government also allocated special funds to hire Dr. Lu and Dr. Tan, famous professors and doctoral supervisors of South China University of Technology, as experts in the restoration project of Guangyu Temple. The whole restoration work was carried out in strict accordance with the principles of the Venice Charter and the Nara Document, so that the restoration work reached the quality standard of "repairing the old as before".
