National Wire and Cable Quality Supervision and Inspection Center is a third-party product testing laboratory independent of the design, development, manufacture and trade of wire and cable products.

The center can detect bare wires, wires and cables for electrical equipment, power cables and their accessories, overhead insulated cables, winding wires, communication cables and optical cables, wire assemblies and electrical accessories (plugs, sockets, couplers, etc.). ) and materials used for wires and cables conform to national standards, industry standards, IEC standards and standards of major economically developed countries (UL, VDE, UK, etc.). The center has 70 employees, including more than 40 technicians, including more than 20 professors and senior engineers. The center has a working area of 5200 square meters, 470 sets of main instruments and equipment, and has world-class testing equipment such as high voltage, network parameter analysis and micro-ohmmeter. In today's historical background of globalization, the Center is constantly building its own core competitiveness, and ensuring the safety of products, the public and the environment with technological advantages and efficient services. 1984, the wire and cable inspection station (TICW) of China Electric Power Equipment Inspection Institute was established, and it began to engage in the safety certification inspection and factory inspection of CCEE wire and cable products.

1June 1989, the center passed the IECEE-CCB exam.1June 1990, the center was approved as an internationally recognized CB laboratory (according to Scheme I), and was promoted from Scheme I to Scheme I+II in June199/kloc-0. In August, 2004, the review and expansion of IECEE-CCB were passed.

1990 in March, the center passed the examination, acceptance and metrological certification of the former State Bureau of Technical Supervision, and became the national wire and cable quality supervision and inspection center. In April 2004, it passed the re-evaluation of 1995, 1998 and 12.

Since its establishment, the center has undertaken many national and ministerial quality supervision and spot checks on wire and cable products, and also undertaken several quality spot checks on wire and cable products in Shanghai every year. After testing by the center, five kinds of wire and cable products won the national gold medal, five kinds of products won the national silver award, and more than 60 kinds of products won the title of high-quality products of the former Ministry of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

As the designated testing organization for compulsory product certification in China, the center has tested 3C-certified products of more than 2,000 wire and cable enterprises. As a product inspection unit of production license, more than 1000 wire and cable enterprises have been inspected by the center to produce licensed products.
