MLM not only harms others but also harms itself.

From an economic perspective, MLM uses deception as a direct means to sell resources of trust between people. Once participants find out that they have been deceived, the way to escape is to develop offline and deceive others. A vast network of scammers was established. If pyramid schemes continue to develop without restrictions, the trust resources of people in society will be lost indefinitely, which will eventually shake the foundation on which the market economy is based.

In a sociological sense, disintegrating the basic unit of society - the family - shakes the foundation of social stability. Many participants in MLM activities have the same experience, that is, they are deceived by relatives and friends into other provinces and cities in the name of job introduction. Most of the participants are from disadvantaged groups. The final result is often that many families are separated, their families are broken up, and some are on the verge of mental collapse due to excessive investment in "brainwashing".

In a psychological sense, it breaks through moral and legal constraints and harms people's ideological and belief foundation. The "brainwashing" of MLM makes people not feel humiliated by deception, but instead feel proud of it. MLM has trained members who are not bound by moral constraints. Even if the organization is banned and they no longer engage in MLM, they no longer have the same sense of guilt as normal people do when they do immoral things, and they have become extremely selfish and profit-seeking. If such social members reach a certain scale, the social control system will be in danger of collapse.

MLM not only controls people through their spirits and thoughts, but also controls their behavior by controlling the economic environment. From this point of view, the dangers of MLM cannot be ignored.
