How are the lanterns used for festivals connected?

Festival lanterns are connected in parallel.

The internal structure of holiday lanterns is different from ordinary lights. In addition to the filament, each lamp in Boutou Lai also has a resistor connected in parallel between the two lamp legs. The resistance of this resistor is much greater than the resistance of the filament.

Therefore, when the small lamp emits light, most of the current passes through the filament, and only a small amount of current passes through the resistor, so the small bulb lights normally. When the filament is burned out, all the current passes through the resistor, and the voltage on the resistor will increase greatly, which will reduce the voltage on other lamps, so the other lamps will become darker than before.

Precautions for using small lanterns for festivals:

1. The lantern lines should use insulated copper wires. When selecting the cross-sections of trunk lines and branch lines, safety aspects should be mainly considered requirements, but the minimum cross-section shall not be less than 2.5 square millimeters, and the cross-section of the lamp holder wire shall not be less than 1.0 square millimeters; the operating current of each branch line shall not exceed 10 amps.

2. In addition to unified control of the lantern power supply, each branch line should be equipped with individual control switches and fuses.

3. If the line is laid horizontally at a low height and pedestrians may touch it, an "electrical hazard" sign should be hung to remind passersby; when the line is laid vertically, the height from the ground should not be less than 3 meters.
