Zhejiang Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower, located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, is organized by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and managed by the Provincial Water Resources Department and the Provincial Education Department. It is one of the three water conservancy undergraduate colleges in China, the only engineering undergraduate college with the characteristics of water conservancy and hydropower in Zhejiang Province, and the only college jointly established by the Ministry of Water Resources and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. Zhejiang Master was awarded to the project construction unit, holding Zhejiang Water Conservancy Engineering Construction Supervision Co., Ltd., an affiliated middle school-Zhenhai Middle School Nanxun Branch.

Founded in 1953 by Hangzhou Hydropower School of the Ministry of Fuel Industry of the Central People's Government, the school is the first batch of industrial colleges established after the founding of New China.
