Xianghai, originally named Xianghai, is a national nature reserve. Located in Tongyu County, Baicheng City, Jilin Province, in the middle of Horqin Grassland. It is an AAAA national nature reserve and an international AAA nature reserve with a total area of106700 hectares, which is a typical grassland landform.

Xianghai, in Jilin Province, has the reputation of "Changbai in the east and Xianghai in the west".

The three major water systems in Xianghai sea area intersect and form two reed marshes, Xianghai Reservoir and Xinglongshan Reservoir. Grassland, lake, swamp, sand dune, Yulin and shrub are interlaced, and various biological types penetrate each other, forming a unique ecological natural landscape facing the sea. There are 293 species of birds in this area, among which 6 species of cranes are called "wetland indicator species". At present, there are only 1500 red-crowned cranes in the world, and there are more than 60 in the sea. Therefore, it is called the sea of "the hometown of cranes".
