Will there be new regulations on straw burning in Guizhou after October 1, 2022?

After October 1, 2022, there will be new regulations on straw burning in Guizhou. In order to ensure the safety of people's lives, property and forest resources, in accordance with relevant regulations such as the Forest Law of the People's Republic of China, the Forest Fire Prevention Regulations, the Grassland Fire Prevention Regulations and the Guizhou Province Forest Fire Prevention Regulations, we are hereby issued Fire ban. From October 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023, it will be a fire ban period in the province’s forests and grasslands. During the fire ban period and fire ban areas, all wild use of fire is prohibited, and the following regulations must be strictly implemented:

1. It is strictly prohibited to carry fire and flammable and explosive items into forest areas and grasslands.

2. It is strictly prohibited to burn straw, weeds and debris, burn ash to accumulate fertilizer, and use fire in other agricultural activities.

3. It is strictly prohibited to light candles, burn incense, burn paper, set off fireworks and firecrackers, set off sky lanterns and other fire-related activities during sacrificial activities.

4. Smoking, lighting, heating, etc. are strictly prohibited. Have picnics and bonfires.

5. It is strictly prohibited to burn honeycombs, burn mountains for hunting, or burn fires to drive away animals.

6. Other activities and behaviors that may easily cause forest and grassland fires are strictly prohibited.
