The couplets are short and concise, which are both vivid art and excellent cultural heritage. Couplets are developed on the basis of the ancient "Tao Fu" and "antithesis". The earliest couplets in China were more than a thousand years ago. It is knowledgeable, interesting, literary and ideological, and it is widely used. It is often involved in daily life, such as Spring Festival couplets, funeral couplets, study couplets, scenic spots couplets, chapter novels with title couplets, birthday couplets, celebrity couplets for celebrity evaluation, learning couplets, creating couplets, students' language ability, cultivating students' language quality and edifying students' Excellence.

Teaching:

1. This activity enables students to learn the unique position of the culture of national traditional culture-the history of couplets in the history of traditional culture.

2. Appreciate the beauty of couplets, and the students' sense of language and aesthetic ability.

A. Anecdotes and couplets:

For example, it is said that there was a Dai Quheng in Dayu County of the Qing Dynasty, who was diligent and eager to learn, but he was quite talented. However, because the county officials were ignorant of talents, he didn't even get a scholar in his thirties. His friend bought a scholar for him out of indignation and got the qualification of having obtained the provincial examination. In 8 days, he went to Beijing after having obtained the provincial examination and then to palace examination, winning three yuan in a row, and was named the No.1 scholar. After returning home with clothes and brocade, he wrote a pair of couplets:

Thirty years ago, the county examination was unknown, the government examination was unknown, the road examination was unknown, and the human eye could not see it;

in eighty days, after having obtained the provincial examination, Beijing examination, and palace examination, they took off their blue robes and returned home.

In the couplet, the words "take an examination of the unknown" and "try" are separated by three times, which vividly expresses the bumpy experience in the official career and warns those officials who neglect their duties and bury talents. It is a story in the couplet, and it is the top grade in the couplet.

B, celebrities and couplets

For example, Zhang Zhidong, governor of Huguang in the late Qing Dynasty, was in Jiangxia. When he received Liang Qichao's visit, he deliberately made a couplet to make things difficult for Liang Qichao, claiming that the scholars in the south of the Yangtze River belonged to me.

Four rivers, four summers; Mr. Wang lives in Jiangxia. Who is it? Who is it?

Not to be outdone, Liang Qichao immediately came up with the following couplet:

Three religions and Confucianism are in the front, and three talents are behind; Boy, as a Confucian, how dare you be in front and behind?

Although Liang feels inferior as a "boy", he is also conceited, so he should find the right one, which makes Zhang Zhidong admire him.

when Zhang Zhidong was the governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, Liang Qichao also visited Zhang, and his business card was signed. "My foolish brother Liang Qichao made a bow".

when Zhang Zhidong saw it, he was greatly annoyed, and immediately blurted out a couplet:

wearing a dress and holding the nine immortals' bones, he was crazy and rude and called a good brother;

without thinking, Liang Qichao immediately answered the second couplet:

Traveling thousands of miles, reading thousands of books, the chivalrous man is proud of his ambition.

Zhang Zhidong got up and greeted him.

It is said that Zhang Zhidong also created an interesting "loveless pair". Couplets, the upper and lower sentences are logical, and the original meaning of each word corresponding to the lower sentence is different from that of the upper sentence, so that each word can be "related" to the words of the upper sentence. For example,

One day, Zhang Zhidong made friends in Taoranting, and took a poem "The tree has been half looking for an axe" as the first sentence. Zhang Zhidong said that it was "really irrelevant" and the other person said that "Xiao He's three strategies to settle Liu".

why are you so right? It turns out that "tree", "fruit" and "Xiao" are all vegetation; "Already", "Ran" and "He" are all empty word; "Half", "one" and "three" are all numbers; "Seeking", "Point" and "Strategy" are all verbs; "Hugh", "No" and "Ding" are all empty word; "Vertical", "phase" and "security" are all empty word; "Axe", "dry" and "Liu" are all ancient weapons. Zhang Zhidong's antithesis of sentences and verses in dialect are even more eclectic.

In the end, Zhang Zhidong made a love affair with the word "Taoranting". Who knows the friend blurted out: "Zhang Zhidong". This is "Zhang Zhidong" versus "Taoranting", which is full of fun and makes everyone laugh.

The story of Ji Xiaolan, a gifted scholar in Qing Dynasty, about couplets:

One winter, Ji Xiaolan followed Qianlong's southern tour to Bailong Temple, which coincided with the bell ringing by monks. Ganlong's poetry was full of enthusiasm, and he wrote:

"The Golden Bell collided in the Bailong Temple"

When Ji Xiaolan saw it, he knew that Ganlong was interested in testing him, so he calmly wrote the couplet:

"Playing Yu Di in the Yellow Crane Tower"

Ganlong immediately applauded: "Good pair!" .

Ji Xiaolan is familiar with poetry books and has a strong memory. His teacher once used a sentence from Du Fu's "A Car Shop" to test him:

"new ghosts are wailing there now with the old"

He skillfully used a pair of words from Li Shangyin's "Ma Wei":

"He is uncertain about his life"

It is seamless and neat, which makes his teacher not.

In the summer of the 16th year of Qianlong, when Emperor Qianlong saw the lotus flowers in the pond blooming, Qianlong got a saying:

"Lotus root in the pond, who do you punch with a red fist?"

Ji Xiaolan saw the castor on the left side of the pond, so he asked the opposite sentence and replied,

"What do you want from the castor on the shore?"

Similarly, questions are flawless, which makes Qianlong amazed.

When Ji Xiaolan was selected as a Jinshi, he saw a lot of pawnbrokers in the capital, and casually recited a couplet:

"East pawnbroker, west pawnbroker, east pawnbroker as something"

But he struggled to get the couplet. Later, he ordered to go to Tongzhou to be the examiner. Seeing that Tongzhou is divided into north and south, he thought hard for months and then went down:

"Nantong, North Tongzhou, North Tongzhou connects North and South."

One autumn, a troupe that often fooled the people went to Ji Xiaolan's hometown to perform. Because the place was poor and life was poor, the performers were resentful. Therefore, the actor who plays the role of "the examiner" in a play satirizes the villagers in the

area:

"sour mustard, smelly cucumber, frowning at the entrance;"

The clinker coincided with Ji Xiaolan's visit to his parents in his hometown, so he angrily retaliated:

"Destroy the pear garden, ruin the drama, and make a fuss!"

Ji Xiaolan once had a doctor friend with a bad temper. One day, Ji Xiaolan went to see a doctor because of a slight illness. The doctor friend said to him, if I make a couplet, if you can make a couplet, the consultation fee and medicine fee will be free. Ji Xiaolan thought that the couplet could beat me? Then nodded yes. The first part is:

"Ointment can be eaten, medicine can be eaten, and plaster can't be eaten"

Ji Xiaolan borrowed his temper and continued the second part:

"Spleen is good for medicine, qi is good for medicine, and temper is bad for medicine."

It touches its shortcomings and urges it to correct. Pun intended, wonderful!

A magistrate of a county had heard that Ji Xiaolan was brilliant. One day, he happened to meet Ji Xiaolan on a driving tour to this county, and he made a tricky couplet:

"Rats are called old regardless of size"

Ji Xiaolan thought for a moment, and it was difficult to be right for a while. Looking around, he saw a parrot and calmly said,

"Parrots are both called elder brothers"
