What does the coking plant do?

The coking plant is a professional factory specializing in the production of metallurgical coke and the smelting, processing and recycling of coking products. Coking refers to the process of carbonization and charring of organic matter. In the carbonization of coal, it refers to high-temperature carbonization.

In petroleum processing, coking is the abbreviation of residual coking, which refers to the high temperature conditions of heavy oil (such as heavy oil, vacuum residual oil, cracked residual oil and even soil asphalt, etc.) at around 500°C. A process in which deep cracking and condensation reactions are carried out under conditions to produce gas, gasoline, diesel, wax oil and petroleum coke.

Coking mainly includes five processes: delayed coking, kettle coking, open-hearth coking, fluidized coking and flexible coking.

According to the coke oven body and drum cooling system flow chart, the waste gas from the coke oven has been condensed into liquid in large quantities before entering the primary cooler. At the same time, the coal dust and coke powder entrained in the gas are also condensed into liquid. After being captured, the water-soluble components in the gas also dissolve into the ammonia water.

Tar, ammonia water, dust and tar residue flow into the mechanized tar ammonia water separation tank together. After separation, the ammonia water is recycled, the tar is sent to centralized processing, and the tar residue can be blended back into the coal material.
