The event itself reflected the good collaborative relationship and the deep military-civilian friendship. Just now, the leaders of the city braved the scorching heat to watch course demonstrations, participate in live-fire shootings, and visit field facilities. Now together with the leaders of the garrison, we talked about the friendship between the military and the local people and the support of businessmen. It feels very meaningful. Just now, we were inspired and encouraged by Secretary Xi’s speech just now. I have been in the army for nearly eight years, and the work of supporting both the city and the people has left a deep impression on me. In general, we feel that we have always had a good tradition of supporting the military. We have a strong atmosphere of caring about national defense and supporting military construction, and our measures are very practical. From the city to the counties and districts, from the leadership team to the functional departments, the work has been proactive, effective, and hard-working, forming a "three-dimensional support for the front line, deep support for the army, and integrated linkage" experience in supporting the army and a "government assistance force" Many distinctive practices, such as the extremely poor officers and soldiers, and the army's assistance to the families of extremely needy soldiers stationed in the area, have actually solved some problems for the army.

Since the beginning of this year, under the leadership of the new party committee, the city’s military-government-military-civilian exchanges have become closer, and the work of supporting the military and giving priority to their families has become more active. I understand that to achieve the "Two Centenary Goals" and the grand goal of realizing the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, the most fundamental thing is the party's strong leadership. At present, the new situation and new tasks have given new connotation to the work of double support. How to adapt to the requirements of the situation, expand new content, solve new problems, and create new situations at a higher level is a realistic topic that requires serious study and thinking by our leading cadres. Based on the work practice in the past few years, I feel that the current dual support work should highlight four key points: First, focus on enhancing national defense awareness. National defense awareness is an important spiritual force of a country.

Judging from some of the work of our army, the problem of weak national defense concepts in society still exists objectively.

For example, phenomena such as the coldness of joining the army, difficulty in recruiting soldiers, and difficulty in safeguarding rights related to the military are still prominent. Although there are many reasons for this, the fundamental reason is the weakening of national defense awareness. In some places, people support national defense construction. , the enthusiasm for devoting themselves to the cause of national defense is not high enough, and the sense of responsibility to perform military service in accordance with the law and fulfill their obligations to the country is not strong enough. These issues require our great attention, careful study of solutions, strengthening military-civilian coordination, intensifying work efforts, and striving to strengthen the overall social awareness of national defense.

The second is to focus on maintaining social stability. Social stability is the prerequisite and guarantee for reform and development. Without stability, nothing can be accomplished; without stability, nothing can be discussed. Escorting economic construction and social development is the common political responsibility of both the military and civilian parties. At present, natural disasters are difficult to predict, social incidents have low ignition points and many explosive points, and online public opinion can easily get out of control. The construction of harmonious and safe military camps has become the focus of both military and civilian leaders, and has also become an important area of ??dual support work. Especially in terms of joint prevention and joint treatment, emergency and disaster relief, emergency response, and major security, we need to conduct in-depth research and thinking on how to achieve timely sharing of information, real-time coordination of actions, and comprehensive military-civilian efforts.

The third is to focus on promoting the construction of "two forces". These "two forces", one is the growth of service productivity and the other is the improvement of service combat effectiveness, are also the basic direction and central task of our work to support both parties. This principle cannot be deviated at any time. In this regard, I think both the military and civilian sides should focus on the construction of "two forces", promote strong alliances, give full play to their respective strengths, constantly explore the greatest common denominator of national defense construction and economic development interests, and strive to build a military-civilian resource alliance. The development pattern of sharing, positive interaction, and mutual benefit and win-win enables national defense construction to obtain stronger support from economic construction, and economic construction obtains more reliable guarantee from national defense construction.

The fourth is to focus on solving practical problems. I feel that dual-support work is a big thing, but it is also a specific matter, and sometimes it is very trivial. Without solving specific practical problems, there will be no support for dual support work and there will be no good results. As a leading cadre, we must not only be good at strengthening macro leadership and promote the development of surface work; we must also be good at doing specific work and turning the needs and wishes of the military and civilians into reality bit by bit. As for our troops, we mainly give full play to our advantages of tight organization and strong assault force to actively support the construction of major local projects, extensively carry out social welfare activities such as poverty alleviation, take the initiative to undertake urgent, dangerous and heavy tasks, and solve practical problems for the station to the best of our ability. At the same time, local governments should also increase policy support for the military and social support for the military, and provide more preferential conditions on issues such as job relocation and resettlement of cadres, employment of family members accompanying the military, and schooling for cadres’ children.

The above four points of understanding are some of my thoughts on the work of military-civilian democracy building and dual support through the practice of local economic and social development and military combat effectiveness building.
