What is the origin of northern Shaanxi Yangko? Why is it called "Yangko"?

Nowadays, yangko is usually understood as one of the "folk dances". But please note that "yangko" is a general term today-it classifies similar folk dances into this category. Therefore, it is not only the performance of "transplanting rice in the field" that is called "Yangko". However, "yangko" must be related to farming. Experts and scholars believe that yangko has a long history. It should be accompanied by the "agricultural revolution" that gradually unfolded on the land of China 10,000 years ago. In fact, ancient people felt the same way.

Yangko, the music sung in the case of transplanting rice. There is a view that Yangko is the music enjoyed by ancient people when transplanting rice hard in vilen, so it is famous. The key point about this matter is that stilts originated from the agricultural areas in the south of China. During the Ming Dynasty, many immigrants invested in them, and some of their relatives were sent to the northern Shaanxi Plateau to worship them in combination with local folk dances, and produced the northern Shaanxi Yangko. Yangko is actually the pronunciation of Putonghua, but in Shaanxi Province, Yangko is usually recorded as "Yangko".

According to the local saying in Shaanxi, Yangko originated from the early local people's affirmation and worship of the sun. At the beginning of the interpretation of northern Shaanxi Yangko, umbrellas led the team.
