Difference between Education and Sports Bureau and Education Bureau

1. The difference between the Education Bureau and the Sports Bureau lies in the different administrative levels. Most municipal units are called Education Bureau, while county units are called Education and Sports Bureau. At present, in most prefecture-level cities, the Education Bureau and the Sports Bureau are two independent government departments. At the county (county-level city) level, the Education Bureau and the Sports Bureau are a government work department.

However, it is worth noting that in order to deepen the reform of the administrative system and promote the extensive and healthy development of physical education in primary and secondary schools, the municipal education bureaus and sports bureaus will gradually merge into one department, called the Education and Sports Bureau.
