Why did Chengdu Metro add a reminder of "Don't look at the mobile phone"?

Escalators are easily overlooked because dangerous situations caused by irregular escalators occur from time to time. In view of the fact that there are a lot of passengers watching mobile phones in the subway, there are indeed security risks, so we add reminders.

It is not uncommon to see a safety accident on the subway escalator because you look down at your mobile phone. On Nanjing Metro Line 2, a boy leaned against the escalator and looked at his mobile phone. As a result, his school uniform was caught in the escalator and staged a moment of shock. In August this year, a male passenger on Beijing Metro 10 line looked down at his mobile phone on the escalator. When he stepped down the escalator, the front end of his shoes got stuck in the gap between the steps, which caused the escalator to stop for a while.

The escalator of the subway belongs to the public heavy-duty elevator, and its running speed is also very fast, with a general speed of 0.5 m/s. In the crowded stations such as Chunxi Road and Tianfu Square, the running speed will be faster, with a speed of 0.65 m/s, so as to facilitate the passage of large passengers. Once an accident happens, if you don't hold the escalator, it is easy to have an accident, so passengers are required to be more cautious when riding the escalator.

It is understood that the newly added voice prompt "Don't look at the mobile phone" is only played normally in the second phase of Chengdu Metro Line 4 and 10 line, but Chengdu Metro has started the voice change work covering all lines since this month, and some stations have started debugging. During debugging, citizens can also hear this new voice prompt at other line debugging stations. This change is expected to be completed in March next year, when all lines of Chengdu Metro will hear this "intimate" reminder.
