Brief Introduction of Ruian Library Building

Ruian Library adopts the design concept of large bay, and its functional layout is reasonable. The reader service is divided into four layers: the first layer is equipped with children's reading room, parent-child reading room, blind reading room, local literature exhibition hall and lecture hall; On the second floor, there is a general service desk, a lending library, a newspaper reading room and a leisure reading room. On the third floor, there is a lending room, a multimedia reading room and a local literature library. There are audio-visual reading rooms, electronic reading rooms and self-study reading rooms on the fourth floor. As the collection and utilization center of books and documents in Ruian and the development center of documents and information resources, the whole library has more than 300,000 books, more than 400 newspapers and more than 500 periodicals/kloc-0, which are shared with Wenzhou public library. There are currently 35 employees, including 3 with senior titles and 6 with intermediate titles/kloc-0. College degree or above accounts for 9 1% of the total number. Ruian Library adheres to the purpose of public service and meets the needs of readers to the greatest extent. It is open 365 days a year, with 78 hours of free service per week. The wireless network in the library is fully covered, and all books and periodicals in the reading area are provided with open-shelf service. The advanced RFID (radio frequency card) technology provides a strong technical guarantee for readers to effectively use the library and the anti-theft safety of books. It also provides various open service measures such as telephone renewal, online renewal and 24-hour self-service book return, which enables readers to obtain literature information more conveniently and freely. Carry out public welfare lectures, weekend movies, book clubs, exhibitions and other forms of reader activities throughout the year to enrich readers' reading content and enhance service connotation; Extended services and mobile services have been widely developed, and 40 book circulation stations have been set up in schools, communities, military units and enterprises throughout the city, initially forming a library service network system covering the whole city.

As one of the landmark public cultural service facilities in Rui 'an, the new Ruian Library has received nearly 3,000 readers every day since its opening in February 1965, and borrowed more than 3,500 books and periodicals, with 438+00. Its business indicators are among the best in Wenzhou Public Library. It has successively won the honorary titles of Wenzhou Advanced Unit for Minors' Ideological and Moral Construction, Wenzhou Civilized Unit, Wenzhou Advanced Collective of Culture, Radio, Film and Television Press and Publication Bureau and Ruian Advanced Collective of Spiritual Civilization, and was named as Wenzhou Social Science Popularization Demonstration Base and Ruian "Spring Mud Plan" Practice Base.
