2022 Huai'an Xuyi County Notice on Strictly Investigating and Punishing Traffic Violations of Motor Vehicles Failure to Yield to Pedestrians

In order to further standardize the traffic regulations for motor vehicles and ensure the safety of pedestrians, Xuyi County Public Security Bureau Traffic Police The brigade has decided to strictly investigate and punish the traffic violations of motor vehicles that do not yield to pedestrians throughout the county from now on. The notice is now as follows:

1. Situations that require motor vehicles to yield to pedestrians

1. A motor vehicle turning at an intersection needs to stop and give way when encountering a pedestrian passing through the intersection normally.

2. When a motor vehicle passes a crosswalk and encounters a pedestrian crossing the crosswalk, it must stop and give way.

3. When a motor vehicle is traveling on a road without traffic signals and encounters a pedestrian crossing the road, it must stop and give way.

II. Legal Liability

In case of violation of the first provision, in accordance with Article 90 of the "Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" and "Jiangsu Province Road Traffic Safety Item 16 of Article 57 of the Regulations stipulates that a fine of 100 yuan and 3 points will be imposed; those who violate the second and third provisions shall be punished in accordance with Article 90 of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China and Item 1 of Article 56 of the "Jiangsu Province Road Traffic Safety Regulations" stipulates that a fine of 50 yuan and 3 points will be imposed.
