Exploration engineering geological design

The geological design of prospecting engineering is to determine the type, spatial position and related technical problems of prospecting engineering from the geological point of view according to the metallogenic geological conditions, exploration types and layout principles of the deposit. It mainly includes drilling engineering design and tunnel engineering design.

(1) drilling engineering design

The design of drilling engineering includes determining the position of drilling through the ore body, the position of drilling, the technical requirements of drilling and compiling the ideal drilling histogram. After the geological design of borehole is completed, summarize the borehole number, coordinates, orientation, hole inclination, designed hole depth and construction purpose, and submit them to the Drilling Department together with the construction notice.

(2) Tunnel design

Tunnel engineering mainly includes adit, shaft, deep prospecting engineering along vein and through vein. This kind of engineering has complex technical conditions and high investment cost, so the design must have a clear purpose and sufficient geological basis. At the same time, in order to make the pit exploration project available for future mining, we should study with the mining department to understand the mining scheme and the height of the mining block and middle section, so as to correctly carry out geological design.

The adit system is mainly used in areas with large terrain fluctuation, and the inclined shaft and vertical shaft system are mainly used in areas with gentle terrain. The location of adit pit should be in a relatively open field, the rock stratum is relatively stable, and there is a large area of concave ground to pile up waste rock. The elevation of the pit mouth is above the flood level over the years. Generally, the shaft is mostly arranged near the center of the mining area in the footwall of the ore body, and the wellhead terrain should be flat. Above the flood level over the years, the shaft should avoid fault zone, quicksand layer and karst cave area.

After the design of the exploration tunnel, the direction and length of the tunnel, the specifications of the tunnel section and the slope of the tunnel should be marked on the geological map of the middle section and the design section of the exploration line. After the tunnel design is approved, the tunnel geological and hydrogeological data should also be sent to the construction department to ensure the construction safety.
