I went to the temple to apply for a visa yesterday. I don't know what this means. Thank you.
We draw lots and tell fortune. This is just a good fate. What if it's bad luck Is there any way to change it? In Buddhism, we explain the ways to change our luck.
One of the ways is eight words: all evil should be done and all good should be pursued.
Let me tell you a little Buddhist story. A master used his magical power to find that a disciple had only seven days to live, so he sent him home to see his parents for the last time. 10 days later, disciple came back from home. The host was surprised and asked him what happened on the road. Disciple said that there was a flood on the road and the rain trapped a nest of ants. Disciples set up ants with branches and saved their lives. Then, Master understood that it was the disciple's kindness to care for life that extended his life.
Do you understand, my friend? Heaven is to reward good and punish evil. If we hold our heads three feet high, there will be a God. If we do good deeds, God will record them. When good fruit is ripe (which takes time), it will bring us good luck.
"It takes time" here means that it takes time for the fruits of good deeds to mature, and it is impossible to do good deeds and get lucky again and again. Sometimes, after doing good deeds, there will be some disasters. The reason is that bad karma has been created before, and the consequences are ripe. Past life refers to past lives.
In our world, there is a great kindness that can save and change our destiny, and it is also easy to be ignored by us, that is, filial piety. As the Buddha said, if there is no Buddha in the world, parents are Buddhas. It is better to be filial to your parents at home than to go to a famous temple to worship Buddha. Friend, you should seriously understand this sentence, which means that if you invite Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, you might as well practice what Buddhas and Bodhisattvas taught us. Confucius said that the hardest thing to be filial to parents is "color difficulty", that is, it is difficult to be kind to parents. Think back, my friend, don't you? ), so be gentle with your parents in the future, speak softly and don't be fierce.
You can learn more ways to accumulate blessings from Buddhist books, such as observing the five commandments (no killing, no stealing, no lewdness, no lying, no drinking), such as chanting. The basic idea is to cultivate the mind and practice the teachings of Buddha and Bodhisattva. This is very helpful to us.
I recommend you to read a book, Enlightenment written by Master Kong Jing. Buddhism explains the origin of our world, the destination and significance of life, and how we can live happily without pain, which is worth learning. This book can be bought in temples.
The destination of life mentioned in Buddhism is very important to us. We are human beings now. What about the afterlife? What will it become? Is there immortality? Besides, can you be happy in the afterlife? Or pain? Is there an eternal way to make yourself happy and all beings feel happy? This point is discussed in detail in Buddhism)
