The purpose of a free trade zone

Free trade zone, referred to as FTZ for short, means that two or more economies in the region gradually abolish tariff and non-tariff measures for most products, open the markets for trade in goods, services and investment, and realize trade and investment liberalization on the basis of WTO commitments. Countries in the free trade zone have established close relations and expanded trade and investment cooperation by opening their markets to each other.
