When will Nantong Metro be opened to traffic?

Nantong City’s subway is still under construction. Subway Line 1 started construction on December 18, 2017 and is expected to be opened in 2022.

Nantong’s subway is not in operation yet and is under construction. The Nantong Metro Vision Line Network consists of 4 urban lines and 4 city lines. The total length of the network is about 324km, of which the total length of the urban line is 170.8km and the total length of the city line is 153.2km.

Nantong Metro Line 1 and Nantong Metro Line 2 are under construction. The total length of the lines under construction is about 60km. It is expected to be put into trial operation on March 28, 2022. Nantong Metro Line 1 starts at Pingchao Station and ends at Zhenxing Road Station, passing through 28 stations. The line connects Tongzhou, Gangzha, Chongchuan and Development Zone in series. The project started in December 2017 and is planned to be trial run in December 2021 and trial operation in March 2022.

Nantong Metro Line 2 starts at Xingfu Station and ends at Xianfeng Station, passing through 17 stations. The line connects Gangzha, Chongchuan and Tongzhou in series. The project started across the board in October 2018, and is planned to be put into service in December 2022 and put into trial operation in March 2023.
